Madhesh Chief Minister Yadav to face floor test on Friday

JANAKPURDHAM: Madhesh Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav has decided to seek a vote of confidence on December 19.

A meeting of the ruling coalition held on Monday decided request the Madhesh Province Assembly Secretariat to convene a session at 4 pm on December 19 for the vote of confidence purpose, according to Saroj Kumar Yadav, leader of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal’s parliamentary party, who attended the meeting.

Yadav said the meeting took decisions regarding the vote of confidence and the election of the Speaker. Matters related to the sharing of ministerial portfolios will be settled in subsequent meetings, he added.

According to sources, JSP Nepal will get the post of Speaker.

Ram Ashish Yadav, chief whip of JSP Nepal, said the election process for the Speaker will begin at a meeting scheduled for 1 pm on Tuesday.
