KATHMANDU: Laxmi Hyundai has launched the Kona electric vehicle’s updated version – Kona GL – in the Nepali market.
According to the company, the car will be available in two variants – Kona GL and Kona GL-S. While Kona GL will cost Rs 5.996 million, Kona GL-S will be available for Rs 6.496 million.
The updated version of the electric crossover comes with new safety features and advanced connectivity. The car also comes with an improved driving range, according to the company.
The car is powered by a 39.2 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery which gives an improved range due to the high-density battery. “The layout and packaging of the battery reduce the car’s center of gravity making it easier to handle and ensuring a comfortable driving experience,” the company said in a statement.
The Kona GL and GL-S have a new grille, daytime running light, and large tail light. It gives a range of 305 km and can be charged up to 80% in 54 minutes using a 100 kW DC charger, according to the company.
The car will be available in attractive color options like Atlas White, Cyber Grey, Galactic Grey, Pulse Red, Surfy Blue, and Dark Knight.
