Leopard found dead in Rautahat

KATHMANDU: A leopard carcass was found in Rautahat district on Monday evening.

According to the Division Forest Office, Rautahat, locals spotted the lifeless body drifting along an irrigation canal near Brindaban forest and reported it to the forest office.

“The leopard, aged 10-12 years, was buried at the Brindaban Sub-division Forest Office in the presence of local administration and government officials,” said Forester Jay Prakash Sah.

Ram Ganesh Sah, a forest officer at the Division Forest Office, stated that the leopard likely died of natural causes.
