KATHMANDU: The Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts related to Land, 2025 has been registered in the House of Representatives.
Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balaram Adhikari, tabled the bill on Tuesday.
The government had earlier issued an ordinance to fast-track this legislation. However, it was not tabled in the House of Representatives after it became certain that the government would fail to garner the required majority to pass the ordinance.
The Bill, among others, aims to address some legal problems in providing land to the landless Dalits, squatters and unmanaged settlers.
