RUPANDEHI: Former Home Minister and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane recorded his statement at the Rupandehi District Court on Wednesday.
Lamichhane arrived in Rupandehi on Tuesday evening after a charge sheet was filed against him for misappropriation of deposits from Butwal-based Supreme Cooperative.
According to Ananata Raj Marasini, the information officer of the district court, Lamichhane recorded his statement during the hearing in the bench of District Judge Pralhad Kumar Yogi. “Now that Lamichhane has completed recording his statement, bail hearing will begin on Thursday,” Marasini added.
The bench handed Lamichhane into the custody of his legal assistant and wife Nikita Paudel on condition that he would be presented before the court on Thursday.
