KATHMANDU: The Parsa District Court has ordered Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), to post a bail of Rs 10 million.
A single bench of District Judge Duradra Prasad Subedi issued the order after a detention hearing on Tuesday, according to Court Registrar Devaraj Bhattarai.
Lamichhane and 29 others have been charged with cooperative fraud and organized crime case for misappropriation of people’s savings in Birgunj-based Sano Paila Savings and Credit Cooperative.
The RSP chair is facing similar charges in Kaski, Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Rupandehi as well.
