Lamichhane congratulates PM Karki for the successful election

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane held a meeting with Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Sunday evening.

In the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, Lamichhane congratulated Prime Minister Karki on successfully conducting a historic election. “The successful conduct of the election has given the country a smooth and democratic way out. This is not an ordinary achievement. I would like to congratulate the honorable Prime Minister, her cabinet, and the secretariat team for this success,” Lamichhane said.

He added that this became possible due to the Prime Minister’s firm stance and determination. “The nation will always remember your contribution, and we will also keep it in mind. We hope for your continued guidance and leadership in the days to come,” he added.

In response, Prime Minister Karki congratulated RSP on its electoral success and advised the party to work in unity so that people are not left disappointed. “The country is currently facing hardships. People have high expectations of you. You must bring a smile to the nation’s face. There are many challenges, but move forward carefully,” Prime Minister Karki said. “If you work with honesty, the expected results will come. Those who oppose or criticize must be answered through your work.”

Lamichhane clarified that neither he nor his party had objections to the decisions made by the current government. “The government should be allowed to work until its final day. We have no objections to the decisions that this government has made,” he said. “Moreover, we hold the utmost respect for this government, which has completed this historic responsibility. Therefore, we will support its steps and endorse its decisions.”

He also suggested that the government should carry out all possible work to its full capacity until the next administration takes office.

Expressing concern over issues such as problems faced by Nepali students in Portugal, tensions in the Middle East, the safety of Nepali workers, and the supply of petroleum products, Lamichhane requested Prime Minister Karki to take appropriate measures on these matters.
