KATHMANDU: Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Dol Prasad Aryal, left for Geneva on Sunday to participate in the 112th International Labour Conference (ILC) of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
According to a statement issued by the ministry, Minister Aryal is scheduled to address the plenary session of the ILC on Wednesday. Likewise, Minister Aryal will hold bilateral meetings with Malaysia’s Minister of Human Resources Chee Keong SIM and Qatar’s Minister of Labor Ali Samikha Al Marri. Similarly, Aryal will meet South Korea’s Minister for Employment and Labor Jung Sik Lee on Friday.
The conference, which began on June 3 and will conclude on June 14, will see the participation of all 187 ILO member states.
The Nepali delegation also includes Chandra Prasad Dhakal, president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Yogendra Kumar Kunwar, president of the Joint Trade Union Coordination Centre (JTUCC).
Meanwhile, President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to address the Inaugural Forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice, which will take place on Thursday, during the International Labour Conference (ILC).
