KATHMANDU: Kathmandu is hosting the Vatsalya SAFF Women’s Championship, which features the women’s league champions of five South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) member nations, from December 5–20.
Issuing a press statement, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) said the Vatsalya SAFF Women’s Championship is being organised in accordance with the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) calendar.
All matches will be played at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
The championship will feature APF Football Club (Nepal), East Bengal FC (India), Nasrin Sports Academy (Bangladesh), Transport United Ladies FC (Bhutan), and Karachi City FC (Pakistan). The matches will be played in a single round-robin league format, with the top two teams after the league stage qualifying for the final.
The winner will receive a cash prize of $10,000, while the runners-up will get $5,000. All participating teams will receive $2,000 each.
