Justice will be served in Prakriti Lamsal’s case: Odisha chief minister

KATHMANDU: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has assured Nepali officials that justice will be served in the case of the deceased Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) student Prakriti Lamsal.

In a meeting with Nepali counselors Sanjeeb Das Sharma and Navin Raj Adhikari at the State Guest House in Bhuvaneshwar on Wednesday, Chief Minister Majhi also said that peace and normalcy would be restored on the KIIT campus and urged Nepali students to return to campus and resume their studies.

Majhi also held a discussion with ministers Mukesh Mahaling and Suryabanshi Suraj along with Chief Secretary of Odisha government Manoj Ahuja and Nepali officials to ensure the restoration of normalcy at KIIT.

Meanwhile, Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana Deuba, who is currently in Muscat, held a discussion on the matter over the phone with Odisha minister Suryabanshi Suraj earlier in the day.
