KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has withdrawn support from the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government.

JSP Chairperson Ashok Kumar Rai wrote a letter to Prime Minister Dahal on Friday, stating that the party was withdrawing support with immediate effect.

The decision follows an agreement reached on Monday between Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML to form a new coalition government.

Dahal’s government fell into the minority after UML withdrew its support on Wednesday. He is taking a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives on July 12.
