KATHMANDU: The Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu are jointly organizing the Japanese Film Festival 2024 in Kathmandu and Pokhara this month.
According to the organizers, the festival will be organized in Pokhara on March 9 and 10 in the auditorium of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Likewise, the festival will be held in Kathmandu at Rastriya Nachghar on March 15-16 and at the Japanese Embassy Hall on March 20-21.
The festival is supported by the Japanese Language Teachers Association Nepal (JALTAN) and the Language Association of Japan.
Five films – Office Royale, Children of the Sea, It’s a Summer Film, Almost a Miracle, and Only the Cat Knows – will be exhibited in Pokhara. Likewise, Key of Life, Time Scoop Hunter: The Movie, Shiori, Neko Ninja, and Kamome Diner will be exhibited in Kathmandu.
A small event titled ‘Japan Day’ will also be organized at the Rastriya Nachghar Kathmandu on March 16. The event will feature activities like calligraphy, origami, and much more, according to the organizers.
