KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu and the Japan Foundation are jointly organizing the Japanese Film Festival 2025 in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
According to the embassy, the festival will be held at Rastriya Nachghar, Jamal, Kathmandu, on January 31 and February 1, and at the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Gairapatan, Pokhara, on March 7 and 8.
A total of 10 Japanese films will be screened during the two-day festival. Brave Father Online: Our Story of Final Fantasy XIV, ITO, Dreaming of the Meridian Arc, Lu Over the Wall, and The Fish Tale will be screened in Kathmandu. Likewise, Takanu Tofu, Where I Belong, And So the Baton Is Passed, Key of Life, and The Line That Defines Me will be screened in Pokhara.
Entry to the festival is free.
The festival is supported by the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association Nepal (JALTAN) and the Language Association Nepal (LAN).
