Japanese envoy meets Foreign Minister Saud

KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, Kikuta Yutaka, Tuesday paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud.

On the occasion, Ambassador Kikuta handed over a congratulatory letter of Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa, and expressed his best wishes for his success as the Foreign Minister.

In response, Minister Saud expressed his appreciation for the congratulations.

“Ambassador Kikuta and Foreign Minister Saud exchanged their views to further enhance the friendly relationship between Japan and Nepal,” the Japanese Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement. “Ambassador Kikuta stated that Japan and Nepal had a long history of cordial bilateral relationship, and Minister Saud highlighted that Japan had been working with Nepal as one of the development partners for decades and it had cooperated with the socio-economic development of Nepal.”
