Janamat, LSP forms teams to hold talks with Madhes-based parties

KATHMANDU: Janamat Party and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) have formed teams to hold talks with like-minded Madhes-centric parties.

Janamat Party has formed a two-member team led by Central Vice President Abdul Khan. Central Spokesperson Dr Sharad Singh Yadav is the other member.

LSP has formed a committee to explore party unification and working alliances with parties with similar political agendas and ideologies.

LSP Chairperson Mahantha Thakur announced the committee through a press statement. The committee includes Senior Vice Chairpersons Jitendra Prasad Sonal and Umakanta Jha, Vice Chairperson Ram Prakash Chaudhary, and General Secretaries Dr Surendra Kumar Jha and Manish Kumar Mishra.

The party has concluded that dialogue and cooperation are necessary with parties working to institutionalize the federal democratic republic and seek more rights for the people.

Madhes-centric parties have recently shown increased interest in unity and working alliances. Most of these parties have now formed teams to discuss possible cooperation.
