KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed charge sheets against two individuals for alleged irregularities in the installation of the Jalhari at the Pashupatinath Temple.
The CIAA submitted a corruption case against the former Member Secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), Dr. Pradip Kumar Dhakal, and Treasurer Milan Kumar Thapa at the Special Court on Sunday.
CIAA’s investigation shows 491.718 grams of gold worth Rs 11.70 million was misappropriated during the installation of the Jalhari. Additionally, the constitutional anti-graft body has also filed charges against Arun Kumar Shrestha, the storekeeper of PADT.
