ITAHARI: The Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City Office has written to private schools in the sub-metropolis, requesting them to provide various documents within seven days.
In a letter issued to all private schools in the sub-metropolis on Wednesday, the Education, Youth, and Sports Department of the sub-metropolitan city sought appointment letters of teachers and other staff, copies of teaching licenses, appointment and qualification details of the headmaster, among other documents.
Private schools have also been asked to provide details of the salaries paid to teachers and other staff in the current fiscal year.
The sub-metropolis stated that it is examining documents from private schools following widespread complaints that these schools were not complying with government-prescribed salary and facilities for teachers.
