KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shashanka Koirala has said that the issue of holding a special general convention within the party has come to an end.
He made the remark while speaking to reporters after attending a meeting of office bearers and former office bearers of the party in Lalitpur on Thursday.
Koirala said since the general secretary himself brought a proposal to hold a regular general convention, the matter of a special convention is now settled. “General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa proposed to hold a regular general convention in the meeting. So, the issue of a special convention is now over,” he said.
The current four-year term of NC leadership expires in December.
