KATHMANDU: The three-day Indo–Nepal Trade Festival 2026, aimed at elevating multidimensional economic, technical, and cultural cooperation between Nepal and India, concluded successfully in New Delhi.
Everest Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ECCI) organized the festival under the theme “Connecting People, Enhancing Bilateral Trade” in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC).
The event featured more than 50 stalls and drew participation from over 20,000 visitors, according to the organisers.
More than 10 high-level sessions and policy dialogues held during the festival highlighted the need for stronger cooperation in areas such as investment promotion, energy partnership, digital economy, tourism, education, health, youth empowerment, and innovation.
Some of the important sessions included “Harnessing Himalayan Hydropower,” “Indo–Nepal Banking & FinTech Business Opportunities and Challenges,” “Indo–Nepal Tourism Ecosystem,” “Media, Mis-Disinformation & Mutual Trust,” “Youth Engagement, Health and Educational Partnerships,” and “Vision 2030: Innovation, AI & Startups.”
The festival concluded with a shared commitment to achieving mutual prosperity through stable policies, infrastructure development, active private sector engagement, responsible media practices, and stronger people-to-people ties between the two countries.
