KATHMANDU: Indian ambassador to Nepal Navin Srivastava paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav at the latter’s office in Kathmandu on Friday.
During the meeting, the two discussed a range of issues of mutual interest and concern, including bilateral relations, high-level visits, economic cooperation, Nepal’s development priorities and bilateral collaboration in regional and international forums, according to the Vice President’s Secretariat.
On the occasion, Ambassador Srivastava highlighted India’s commitment to its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy. He also said that Nepal has been granted permission to import 200,000 tons of wheat from India despite the southern neighbor’s ban on wheat exports.
