Indian Army provides training simulators to Nepal Army

KATHMANDU: Indian Army has provided two training simulators to Nepal Army.

Lieutenant General JS Sandhu, Chief of Staff of Army Training Command of the Indian Army, handed over Universal Driving Simulator and Infantry Training Simulator to Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Saroj Pratap Rana amid a function held at the Yuddha Kawach Battalion on Thursday.

The training simulators were provided as per an agreement signed between the two countries during Nepal-India Bilateral Consultative Group on Security Issues held four years ago, Nepal Army said in a statement on Wednesday.

Lieutenant General JS Sandhu is on a visit of Nepal from December 18 to 24.

“Such support improves military relations between the countries as well as enhances the professional capacity of Nepal Army,” the statement added.
