KATHMANDU: India has gifted Nepal 15 electric vehicles for use during the upcoming Sagarmatha Sambaad.
Ambassador of India to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, handed over 15 Tata Curvv cars to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, amid a ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
The government is organizing Sagarmatha Sambaad in Kathmandu on May 16-18, 2025, on the theme ‘Climate Change, Mountains and the Future of Humanity’.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ambassador Srivastava said that these vehicles would help facilitate the movement of guests and officials during the Sagmatha Sambaad. He recalled similar logistical support extended by the Government of India to the law enforcement agencies and the Election Commission for the 2022 general elections.
Receiving the vehicles, Minister Rana expressed gratitude for India’s support for facilitating the Sagarmatha Sambaad.
