KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), has said that Minister for Home Affairs, Ramesh Lekhak, must pave the way for an investigation into the visit visa scam.
“The Maoist Center parliamentary party meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday concluded that the Home Minister should pave the way for an investigation, as the visit visa scam indicates collusion,” Maoist Center’s Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun said after the meeting. “The party cannot back down from its demand for the home minister’s resignation.”
Pun added that not only the opposition but also the general public and media are calling for the Home Minister’s resignation.
“A meeting of opposition parties will be held before the parliamentary session on Tuesday to determine further strategies,” he added.
