KATHMANDU: Holi, the festival of colors, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and rejoicing across the country on Sunday. The streets came alive as revelers armed with colors, water guns, and water-filled balloons engaged in playful battles, spreading joy and camaraderie.
In Kathmandu’s Basantapur Durbar Square, where the traditional Chir is erected, thousands gathered to witness the Holi celebrations. People from all walks of life embraced the spirit of the festival, forgetting their differences and immersing themselves in the vibrant hues and music that filled the air.
The festival celebrates the arrival of spring and also symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, fostering unity and social harmony among Nepal’s diverse communities.
