KATHMANDU: Harka Raj Rai of Jhapa has been appointed as the Secretary of the House of Representatives (HoR).
President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed Rai, a resident of Shivastakashi Municipality-2 of Jhapa, to the position on the recommendation of the Speaker as per Article 106 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, a statement issued by the Office of the President said.
The position had been lying vacant since Suresh Adhikari tendered his resignation on November 24.
