KATHMANDU: Gyan Bahadur Shahi has been elected as the leader of the parliamentary party of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
A meeting of the RPP’s parliamentary party held in Kathmandu on Thursday selected Shahi to the position.
Shahi, the only RPP candidate to be elected under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system, served as the party’s Chief Whip in the dissolved House of Representatives.
Similarly, Khusbu Oli has been elected as the party’s Chief Whip.
RPP has five members, including four elected under the proportional representation (PR) system, in the lower house.
