Govt recalls ambassadors from 11 countries

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to recall ambassadors appointed by the previous administration from 11 countries.

A cabinet meeting held on Thursday took the decision, according to Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel, who is also the Government Spokesperson.

Ambassadors have been recalled from countries including China, the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Saudi Arabia Spain, and Japan. They have been instructed to return to Nepal by November 5.

According to Minister Kharel, those recalled include Dr Krishna Prasad Oli (China), Lokdarshan Regmi (United States), Chandra Ghimire (United Kingdom), Netra Timilsina (Malaysia), Shail Rupakheti (Germany), Dhan Prasad Pandit (Israel), Janga Prasad Chauhan (Russia), Sanil Nepal (Spain), Ramesh Chandra Paudel (Qatar), Naresh Bikram Dhakal (Saudi Arabia) and Durga Bahadur Subedi (Japan).
