KATHMANDU: The government is holding discussions with representatives of political parties and Gen Z group on Wednesday in its bid to create a conducive environment for elections scheduled for March 5.
A tripartite meeting is being held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar at 4 pm on Wednesday. The meeting will include representatives from the government, political parties, and the Gen Z group, according to Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel.
Kharel said that the meeting was being organized to help create a favorable atmosphere for the elections. He added that the government has been engaging in talks and consultations with political parties and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the elections.
Last week, the government held a discussion with representatives of different political parties on the upcoming polls. In the meeting convened by Prime Minister Sushila Karki, all sides agreed to create the necessary environment and complete the elections within the scheduled timeframe.
