KATHMANDU: The government is forming a judicial commission to probe the Balkumari incident.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal directed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha to form the commission on Sunday.
The home ministry will present a proposal for the commission in the upcoming cabinet meeting.
Birendra Shah of Achham and Sujan Rawat of Dailekh lost their lives when police used force to disperse the demonstration of protesters participating in the Employment Promotion Scheme (EPS) Korean language examination in Balkumari, Lalitpur, on Friday. The demonstrators also set ablaze the car of Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala.
The ministry formed a three-member probe committee on Friday itself.
