Govt felicitates top taxpayers

KATHMANDU: The Inland Revenue Department has honored the highest taxpayers of different sectors in the country.

Minister for Finance Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat felicitated the highest taxpayers amid a ceremony organized on the occasion of National Tax Day in Kathmandu on Thursday.

These are the highest taxpayers for fiscal year 2021/22:

Highest Income Tax Payer: Nepal Telecom
Export Trade: Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd
Special Industries: Asian Paints Pvt Ltd
Agriculture and Livestock Industries: OCB Foods and Feeds Pvt Ltd
Cooperatives/Microfinance: Chhimek Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd
Banks/Finance institutions: Global IME Bank Ltd
Insurance: Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Ltd
Health/Educational Institutions: Nobel Medical College and Teaching Hospital
Tourism: Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd
Commodities Trade: Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket and Departmental Stores
Medium Scale Taxpayers: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd
Energy: Bhotekoshi Power Company Pvt Ltd
Individual: Bijaya Kumar Shah (Jawalakhel Group of Industries)
Highest Inland Taxpayer: Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd
Highest VAT Payer: Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd
