BHAIHRAHAWA: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has stated that the government will create an investment-friendly environment by amending laws if necessary.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 9th Lumbini National Festival in Bhairahawa, organized by the Siddharthmagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Minister Poudel urged entrepreneurs not to lose hope and assured them that the economic situation is currently improving. “When we first came into government, problems were piling up problems in the economic and social sectors. But since the formation of this government, hope has been rekindled among the people,” he said. “Businesspeople are face challenges, workers have their issues, but the public now believes that the problems of the youth and adolescents will also be addressed.”
He assured that the government is committed to solving all the economic issues and revitalizing the economy. Paudel added that the government is focused on boosting the morale of the private sector.
Minister Poudel also urged all to have confidence in the operation of the Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa. He highlighted the need for the construction of another terminal building at the airport to meet growing demand. “To operate the airport at full capacity, additional infrastructure is needed,” he said. “Although there have been some issues, we are working to resolve them and move forward,” he added.
Minister Poudel further expressed his commitment to developing Bhairahawa into a prosperous and modern city.
