KATHMANDU: The government has changed the chiefs of the Department of Customs and Department of Inland Revenue Department.
Hari Sharan Pudasaini has been appointed as the Director General of the Department of Customs, while Ram Prasad Acharya has been given the responsibility of the Director General of the Inland Revenue Department.
Similarly, Uttarkumar Khatri has been assigned to the Revenue Management Division of the Ministry of Finance, Madan Dahal to the Administration Division, Thana Prasad Pangeni to the Fiscal Federalism Coordination Division, Mahesh Bhattarai to the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division, and Amrit Lamsal has been given responsibility within the Ministry of Finance.
Earlier, Dhaniram Sharma was appointed as the head of the International Economic Assistance Coordination Division, while Shri Krishna Nepal was assigned to lead the Budget and Program Division.
Major changes have been made in the revenue administration. Yamuna Pradhan and Janak Raj Sharma have been appointed as Deputy Director Generals of the Department of Customs, while Dilli Ram Panthi has been named as the Joint Financial Comptroller General.
Similarly, Kabita Regmi and Gopi Krishna Koirala have been appointed as Deputy Director Generals of the Inland Revenue Department, Deepak Lamichhane as the Chief Customs Administrator of Birgunj Customs Office, Ramesh Aryal as Chief Tax Administrator of the Large Taxpayers Office, and Parbati Sharma as the Chief Tax Administrator of the Medium Level Taxpayers Office.
