
KATHMANDU: The government has approved the detailed framework for revenue sharing with provincial and local governments for the next five fiscal years (2025/26 to 2030/31 BS).
According to the Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, the decision was taken by a cabinet meeting held on Monday. Gurung also added that the cabinet finalized the estimated revenue shares and fiscal equalization grants to be allocated to provincial and local governments for the upcoming fiscal year.
Likewise, the government has decided to receive a Japanese grant of 573 million yen (approximately Rs 5.73 billion) for upgrading the trauma and emergency center of Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavre.
Similarly, the government has appointed Chudamani Chapagain as the CEO of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited and Senior Agricultural Economist Dr Pradyumna Raj as the Executive Director of the Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee.
Gurung added that the cabinet also approved the Institute of Foreign Affairs Bill and decided to send medical relief supplies and a Nepali Army medical team to Myanmar.
