Govt always ready to work with private sector: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government is ready to support the private sector, which is working confidently toward the country’s development.

Inaugurating the 59th Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in Kathmandu on Thursday,  he said that the government is committed to increasing large-scale production and productivity. “We are formulating policies and laws to support these goals based on suggestions from the private sector,” he added. “The national goals can be achieved through cooperation between the government and the private sector.”

Oli also said that the main agenda of the current government is stability, good governance and development, and that political stability has been achieved in the country. He added that the government was focused on bringing policy stability by ending practices where state policies are changed abruptly.

Referring to ongoing protests, Oli said there is no need for protest as the government respects the opinions of all. “We have established a system to serve the people and provide facilities. The government is working to strengthen this system,” he added.
