Gokarna Karki elected PCCI President

POKHARA: Gokarna Karki has been elected as the president of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

In the election held during the 35th Annual General Meeting of PCCI on Sunday, Karki defeated his rival Arjun Pokhrel by 458 votes.

Karki received 1,339 out of 2,251 votes cast in the election, while Pokhrel secured 881 votes. Pokhrel, a former general secretary of the PCCI, had contested for the position in the 34th Annual General Meeting as well.

Sudeep Pradhananga has been elected as the Deputy General Secretary. Other office-bearers were elected unopposed. Uttam Man Bajracharya, Dinesh Bastola, Shobha Gautam, and Manoj Shrestha have been elected Senior Vice President, Vice President (Industry), Vice President (Commerce), General Secretary, and Treasurer, respectively.

Similarly, Devendra Praju, Lalit Bahadur Kunwar, Saugat Thapa, Dudhman Gurung, Bhim Gautam, Tikaram Subedi, Jivan Prakash Shrestha, Ramchandra Timilsina, Pradip Raj Bhandari, and Yadav Prasad Pokhrel have been elected as members.
