KATHMANDU: Food Management and Trading Company has begun selling goats and mountain goats for the Dashain festival.
The state-owned trading company has been selling goas and mountain goats from its Thapathali-based provincial office.
According to Sharmila Neupane, the information officer of FMTC, the company is selling live goats for Rs 670 per kg and mountain goats for Rs 1,250 per kg.
FMTC is preparing to sell around 2,000 goats and 1,000 mountain goats for this Dashain. It sourced goats from Makwanpur, Dang and Kailali districts while mountain goats were brought from Raswua.
