POKHARA: Two women have died in separate fire incidents during the Gen Z protest in Pokhara.

According to the District Police Office, Kaski, one body was recovered from the house of businessman Dhruva Thapa in Pokhara-9, New Bazaar. The house was set on fire by the protesters.

Thapa is the brother of Gandaki’s Minister for Social Development, Youth and Sports Bindu Kumar Thapa. The house had been rented out to operate an automobile showroom.

Similarly, another woman’s charred body was found inside the Anshubhara Resort at Lakeside, according to Kaski Police Chief SP Shyambabu Oli.

Meanwhile, a 14-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a stray bullet in Gairapatan, Pokhara, on Wednesday afternoon.
