POKHARA: Gandaki Chief Minister Khaga Raj Adhikari has inducted two new ministers from CPN-UML into his cabinet.
Province Chief Dilli Raj Bhatta administered the oath of office and secrecy to Bed Bahadur Gurung and Sita Sundas amid a ceremony in Pokhara on Monday.
The two are said to be close to Chief Minister Adhikari in UML. They were also in Adhikari’s cabinet formed after the November 2022 election.
Gurung has been given the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Drinking Water, while Sundas has been sworn in as the Minister for Social Development and Health.
With these additions, the number of members in the Gandaki cabinet has reached five.
Earlier, Chief Minister Adhikari appointed Hari Bahadur Chuman of CPN (Maoist Center) as Minister for Economic Affairs and an independent member, Rajiv Gurung, as Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development.
