KATHMANDU: A free shuttle bus service has been launched for passengers stranded by a landslide at Tuinkhola on the Narayanghat–Muglin road section in Chitwan.
Nepal Police Inspector Deepak Rijal said the shuttle buses are being operated free of cost from the Paanch Kilo area, across the Tuinkhola landslide, to Narayanghat.
The service will be beneficial for passengers who arrive at the Paanch Kilo bridge after bypassing the landslide via the Tanahun route.
The stranded drivers and passengers are also being provided with food and basic medical assistance in coordination with the District Administration Office, Chitwan.
According to Rijal, three excavators from the Narayangadh side and two from the Muglin side have been deployed to clear the debris.
Traffic has been halted since Tuesday afternoon after a massive landslide struck near the Tuin Khola bridge along the Narayangadh–Muglin road.
