
KATHMANDU: Four Nepali youths rescued from online scammers in Myawaddy, Myanmar, have been brought back to Nepal.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok said the youths were rescued with the help of the Thai government and brought to Bangkok via the Immigration Office in Mae Sot district, Tak Province. They have been sent to Kathmandu on Wednesday, the embassy added in the statement.
The identities of the rescued youths have not been disclosed.
Earlier, on February 21, the embassy repatriated five Nepalis, including one woman, who had been rescued from similar scams in Myanmar.
