KATHMANDU: Four foreign trekkers have been rescued from Bhimthang of Manang on the popular Manaslu Circuit Trail on Monday.
According to the District Administration Office, Manang, the trekkers were rescued after they developed symptoms of altitude sickness. The trekkers were sent to Kathmandu after health check ups in district headquarters Chame, Subash Kumar Lamichhane, chief district officer of Manang said. “Two trekkers from South Africa and two from New Zealand and an accompanying guide have been flown to Kathmandu,” he added.
Manaslu Circuit is a popular walking trail in the country.
