KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has recalled four of its Inspectors from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB).
Sources at the Nepal Police headquarters said the four police officers – Suresh Khatri, Ranjit Lama, Wakil Singh, and Krishna Shrestha – were recalled from CIB on Friday for negligence in the investigation of 60 kg of gold smuggled into the country concealed in vapes through the Tribhuvan International Airport.
An inquiry commission, led by former High Court Judge Dilli Raj Acharya, had recommended conducting an investigation into the four police officers for their negligence in the investigation.
