Four dead, one injured in Surkhet road mishap

SURKHET: Four persons died in a road accident in Surkeht district early Sunday morning.

A pickup met with an accident near Jhuprakhola in Birendranagar-11 in Surkhet district at around 2 am on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as driver of the pickup Sagar Shahi (27) of Birendranagar-7 of Surkhet, and Dipendra Jung Shahi (33) of Dungeshwar-5, Babin Shahi (31) of Bhagwatimai-5 and Rajendra BC (36) of Gurans-3 of Dailakeh, according to District Police Office, Surkhet. Similarly, Birendra Raj Shahi (26) of Bhiravi-5 of Dailekh was injured in the accident. He is receiving treatment at Karnali Province Hospital, Surkhet.

The pickup went out of control while coming to Birendranagar from Chinchu, according to the police.
