RUKUM WEST: Four people died on the spot when a jeep met with an accident at Duli in Banfikot Rural Municipality of West Rukum on Thursday morning. Ten others are injured.
The jeep with registration Lu 1 Ja 1747 was heading to the district headquarters Khalanga from Melchaur in Sanibheri Rural Municipality-5 when it met with an accident near Motikhola in Duli.
The injured are receiving treatment at Rukum West District Hospital.
Eyewitnesses say the jeep reversed and fell 400 meters off the road while climbing a steep slope. Police, however, say the cause of the accident is still to be ascertained.
