Four dead in Dadeldhura bus accident

KATHMANDU: Four people died in a road accident in Dadeldhura district on Tuesday night.

The bus, traveling from Mahendranagar to Purchaudi in Baitadi, met with an accident on Tuesday night at Khasrekhan in Amargadhi Municipality-7, according to the RSS news agency. Four people died at the scene, while 12 others were injured.

The victims have been identified as Jayamati Bohara (45), Kamala Bohara (20), Sahadev Bohara (22), and an unidentified child — all from Purchaudi Municipality-3 in Baitadi.

Inspector Upendra Bahadur Bam of the District Police Office, Dadeldhura, told RSS that the driver, Birendra Bohara, is seriously injured and has been sent to Dhangadhi for treatment. Police suspect the driver might have fallen asleep.
