Six dead as passenger bus plunges into Trishuli River*

KATHMANDU: Six persons died when a passenger bus heading to Kathmandu from Kapilvastu plunged into Trishuli River in Dhading at 5 am on Wednesday.

According to the Armed Police Force (APF), the accident occurred near Ghatbesi on the Prithvi Highway.

“Six passengers died while 37 were rescued by a team of Armed Police Force deployed from Nepal Disaster Management Security Base, Adamghat,” DSP Shailendra Thapa, the joint spokesperson of APF, told Himal Press.

APF has mobilized 18 personnel from its security base and 24, including six divers, from its Disaster Management Training School, Kurintar. *Updated
