KATHMANDU: Sapari police have arrested four individuals on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
Police arrested Tek Raj Pokharel (40), Dipesh Subedi (21), Sudip Bhujel (24), and Manoj Bishwakarma (22), all residents of Kanchanrup Municipality-12, based on a complaint filed by the minor girl and her father, according to the Area Police Office, Kanchanrup.
DSP Naresh Kumar Singh, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Saptari, stated that the police are preparing to extend the remand of the accused for further investigation.
According to the police, the accused entered the victim’s house in Dharmapur of Kanchanrup-12 on Friday night, threatened her with a Khukuri knife, and took her to Som Bahadur Magar’s house, where they raped her. They later dropped the girl back at her house.
