KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Patron of the Progressive Democratic Party Dr Baburam Bhattarai has been bereaved of his father.
Bhoj Prasad Bhattarai, 97, passed away at the Upendra Devkota Memorial National Institute of Neurology and Allied Sciences, Bansbari, on Thursday morning, according to family members.
Bhattarai is survived by his sons Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Shiva Prasad Bhattarai, and daughters Parbati Bhattarai and Thir Kumari Bhattarai.
He will be cremated later today at the Pashupatinath electric crematorium, according to family members.
