Former NOC  boss Khadka found guilty in graft case

KATHMANDU: The Special Court has pronounced the former executive director of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), Gopal Bahadur Khadka, guilty in a corruption case.

A division bench, comprising Special Court Chairman Shreekanta Poudel and Members Shalikgram Koirala and Dr. Khushi Prasad Tharu, has sentenced Khadka to one year and three months of imprisonment, along with a fine of Rs 180 million.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a charge-sheet against Khadka two years ago, alleging him of accumulating Rs 186.65 million through illegal means during the procurement of land for building petroleum facilities across the country.
