LUMBINI: Dubai-based low-cost carrier, FlyDubai, has started scheduled flights to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa.
A Boeing 738 aircraft of FlyDubai landed at the Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhiahrahawa at 2:33 pm with 159 passengers. Ten passengers disembarked in Bhairahawa, while the remaining 149 continued to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, according to Binod Singh Raut, the information officer at Gautam Buddha International Airport.
On Saturday morning, Jazeera Airways resumed its flights to Bhaihrawa. It arrived with 171 passengers from Kuwait and departed with 167 passengers from Bhairahawa.
FlyDubai has announced that it would operate daily flights to Bhaihrawa.
Nepal Airlines is also scheduled to operate flights to Bhaihrawa on Saturday evening.
